Welcome to Hollyhocks School, where we breed the best and nurture them to become outstanding in their career endeavours.
Hollyhocks School is a non-profit organised school founded in August 2016. The aim of the school is to complement the effort of the government by providing quality education for the children of low- income earners and the less privileged. The school is located at 66 Egbelu Street, Rumuodara Port-Harcourt. It is in a serene environment, suitable and conducive for learning.
The organisation is funded by the combined efforts of the members of the Trustees, Personal Income, and Charitable Donations from like-minded individuals.
A group of educational professionals is managing it. The school is made up of board of Trustees, Governors, and Advisers. The Staff consists of professionals of different fields. The Staff strength as at today is twelve (Four Academic Staff, Four Volunteers, and Four non Academic Staff)
The School run the normal three terms, and does extra reading and writing classes for the children in our community. With this, we have recorded much success and encouragement.
The curriculum used in the school is the Basic Education Curriculum from the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) and the Montessori Curriculum that uses the play method of teaching. The School is doing her best in bringing out the genius in these young ones.
